For the 18 years that I have ridden at Lucky Star Equine, it has always been the fun and friendly environment that I have thought of as my second home. Vanessa and Janice have always made it their responsibility to make sure that everybody get as much as possible out of every lesson, show team practice, and horse show. I always go home smiling. When I first began to ride, at age 5, I was absolutely terrified to go faster than a walk, but they helped bring up my confidence, ride after ride.  I compete on the horse show team, own my own horse that I am learning to train through the colt training program, and I'm at the barn almost everyday. They have  given me so many opportunities to improve my riding, and they provided me lifelong friendships. They always put the horses first, and their knowledge seems to be never ending. I have learned so much over the last 18 years!

 I started taking lessons from Vanessa over 18 years ago and have leased one of her horses (whom I dearly love!!) for 10 years. For, my birthday, they surprised me, and Magic became my horse! Vanessa and her mom, Janice, are excellent teachers; knowledgeable, compassionate, encouraging and welcoming. They care deeply for their horses; many of which have been rescued. This has been one of the best things I have ever done, and to get back in the saddle after 30 years has been incredible!! 

Lucky Star Equine is amazing!! I really wish I could have had this opportunity for my daughter when she was young.

Lucky Star Equine provides a safe, friendly atmosphere for me to develop riding skills at my maturing age. Even if you don't have a horse, they have many well mannered school horses of varying levels providing opportunities to anybody of any age at any skill level. I always look forward to showing with Lucky Star and love the supportive nature of their group. Having the group support and mentor - is an incredible confidence builder!!! Lucky Star Equine has opened equine doors that before, I couldn't figure out how to open on my own!! I really desire to reach a higher level - whether it be at reining or  ranch versatility. We have been boarding our horse at Lucky Star Equine for the past two years, and it has been an incredible experience. Vanessa and Janice are exceptionally knowledgeable and are always willing to share their expertise, answer questions, and help both horses and riders succeed.

From the very beginning, they made us feel welcome and part of the Lucky Star family. The barn has a relaxed, supportive, and drama-free atmosphere that makes it enjoyable to spend time there and focus on learning and growing.

Through riding and groundwork lessons, we have gained valuable skills and confidence, and we continue to learn something new all the time. Being part of the show team and attending local shows has also been a fun and rewarding experience, providing opportunities to challenge ourselves while being supported by an amazing group of people.

We are grateful for everything Lucky Star Equine has done for us and our horse, and we truly love being part of the Lucky Star family.

 Lucky Star Equine has truly been a life saver for me.  After going through a very difficult event in my life, I was introduced to Vanessa through a counselor.  I started taking lessons and it changed my life.  It gave me back a piece of my life that I had lost over the years.  Riding again gave me the confidence I needed to move through heavy things mentally, it gave me strength to keep trying new things and a peace that can never be matched.  Vanessa and Janice provide an environment for growth and love.  They love each of their clients and the love for their horses, well it’s unmatched.
